Unavoidable School Closures
There are some occasions where the school may need to close due to unforeseen circumstances. These may include, but are not limited to, extreme weather; issues with the heating resulting in the temperature in winter months being too low for staff to work and to safeguard the children; and the water supply being either contaminated or stopped. On these occasions, the headteacher will liaise with the Chair of Governors and make the decision to close the school.
If the children are not yet in school:

- A message will be sent out via Dojo and the school's Facebook page
- Parents will come and collect the children from school using the normal pick up points for each class
- Parents may request another parent/adult picks up their child giving consent via contact with the School Office
- Children will not be allowed to walk home and an adult must pick them up before 3.25pm as this is within the school day. We respectfully ask that all parents are contactable whilst their child is at school. Pupils will remain with staff until they are picked up.
